Course Objectives

By the end of the course the participants will be able to:

§    Explain the methods of anti-surge control as used in centrifugal gas compressors
§    Identify surge control operational problems related to the compressors used in Oil & Gas Field
§     Implement necessary actions to avoid surge
§    Describe “PETROTECH” anti-surge control system operation
§    Demonstrate the operations of the anti-surge controller by using simulator
§    Identify problems relating the surge in centrifugal compressors
